Category: Face ExerciseTarget: neckBody part: neckEquipment: body weightLevel: beginnerMovement: Stretch

The neck jaw stretch is a bodyweight exercise targeting the neck and jaw muscles. It combines a lateral head tilt with a jaw protrusion to stretch the sternocleidomastoid and surrounding neck musculature.

How to do it

  1. Sit upright with your back straight and shoulders relaxed.
  2. Tilt your head to the right, bringing your right ear toward your right shoulder.
  3. Gently push your lower jaw forward and slightly upward to feel a stretch on the left side of the neck and jaw.
  4. Hold the stretch for 10–15 seconds.
  5. Return to the neutral position and repeat on the opposite side.
  6. Continue alternating sides for the desired number of repetitions.
