The neck tightener is a bodyweight exercise targeting the platysma and neck muscles. It combines a head tilt with a chewing motion to tighten and tone the muscles along the front of the neck.

How to do it

  1. Sit upright with your back straight.
  2. Tilt your head back until you are looking at the ceiling.
  3. Open and close your mouth in a chewing motion while in this position, engaging the neck and chin muscles.
  4. Continue for 20–30 seconds.
  5. Return your head to the neutral position and rest briefly.
  6. Repeat for the desired number of sets.

Form cues
