The wall standing lower body stretch is a comprehensive bodyweight stretching routine targeting the quadriceps, hip flexors, and calves in a standing position. The wall provides balance support, making it easier to maintain an upright posture during the full lower body stretch.

How to do it

  1. Stand facing the wall with your feet hip-width apart and hands placed against it for support.
  2. Bend one knee and lift your heel toward your glute, grasping the ankle with the hand on the same side.
  3. Stand tall and keep your knees together as you hold the quad stretch.
  4. Hold for 20-30 seconds, feeling the stretch through the front of the thigh.
  5. Lower the foot and switch sides.
