The Pilates frog advanced is a bodyweight exercise targeting the glutes and hip flexors. This variation incorporates an upper body curl-up and arm pulses while performing the frog leg press, significantly increasing abdominal engagement and overall challenge.

How to do it

  1. Lie on your back and lift both legs to a 90-degree angle, turning your toes out and heels together.
  2. Lift your head and shoulders off the mat, engaging your core.
  3. Press your legs out at a diagonal angle as you exhale, keeping the heels together.
  4. Bend your knees and draw them back into the starting position.
  5. Simultaneously pulse your arms forward to deepen the core engagement.
  6. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Form cues
