Crossover high knee cardio is a bodyweight cardio exercise combining high knees with a crossbody rotation. It elevates heart rate while engaging the core and hip flexors through the diagonal knee-to-elbow pattern.

How to do it

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and arms extended out to the sides.
  2. Drive your right knee upward and across your body toward your left elbow simultaneously.
  3. Return to the starting position and immediately drive your left knee toward your right elbow.
  4. Continue alternating sides in a brisk, rhythmic motion.
  5. Maintain an upright posture and keep your core engaged throughout.

Form cues

Breathing: Exhale as you drive your knee upward and across, and inhale as you return to the starting position.
