The wall squat pose hold is a static bodyweight exercise where the back is pressed against the wall in a deep squat position. This isometric hold builds quad endurance and lower body strength while the wall ensures consistent upright posture.

How to do it

  1. Stand with your back flat against the wall and your feet shoulder-width apart.
  2. Slowly slide down the wall until your thighs are parallel to the floor and knees are at 90 degrees.
  3. Keep your back pressed into the wall and your arms resting at your sides or held in front.
  4. Hold the squat position for the desired duration.
  5. Slide back up the wall to return to standing.

Form cues

Breathing: Inhale deeply as you slide down, and breathe steadily throughout the hold. Do not hold your breath.
