Over Under

Category: WorkoutsTarget: obliquesBody part: waistEquipment: body weightLevel: beginnerMovement: Gait

The over under is a bodyweight agility and core exercise targeting the obliques through lateral bending and rotation. Ducking alternately to each side challenges lateral core strength, balance, and coordination.

How to do it

  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and place a cone or obstacle beside you.
  2. Hinge to one side to duck under the obstacle by bending your knees and lowering your torso.
  3. Shift your weight and rise up on the other side.
  4. Return in the opposite direction, alternating the ducking pattern.
  5. Continue for the desired number of repetitions.

Form cues

Breathing: Inhale as you lower and shift to the side, and exhale as you rise back up.
