Banded One Arm Row

Category: WorkoutsTarget: latsBody part: backEquipment: resistance bandLevel: beginnerMovement: Pull

The banded one arm row is a unilateral resistance band exercise targeting the lats and upper back. Performing one arm at a time allows for greater focus on muscle activation and helps address any strength imbalances between sides.

How to do it

  1. Anchor one end of a resistance band at a low point and stand to the side facing the anchor.
  2. Hold the other end of the band in one hand with your arm extended toward the anchor.
  3. Brace your core and hinge slightly at the hips with a flat back.
  4. Pull the band toward your hip by driving your elbow back, squeezing your lat at the top.
  5. Slowly return to the starting position and repeat for the desired repetitions before switching arms.

Form cues

Breathing: Exhale as you pull the band toward you, and inhale as you slowly return to the starting position.
