Wall Slide Hips Out

Category: WorkoutsTarget: adductorsBody part: upper legsEquipment: body weightLevel: beginnerMovement: Squat

The wall slide hips out is a bodyweight stretching exercise targeting the adductors. Performed in a wall sit with the knees pressed outward, it creates a deep inner thigh stretch while the wall provides back support, making it effective for improving hip mobility and adductor flexibility.

How to do it

  1. Stand with your back flat against a wall and your feet about shoulder-width apart.
  2. Slide down the wall until your knees are bent at approximately 90 degrees in a squat position.
  3. From this position, push both knees outward away from each other as far as comfortable.
  4. Hold the knees-out position for 10-15 seconds, feeling the stretch in the inner thighs.
  5. Return knees to neutral, slide back up the wall, and repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Form cues

Breathing: Inhale deeply as you lower into position, and exhale slowly while pressing your knees outward to help relax the muscles.
