Standing Back Fly Stretch is a bodyweight stretching exercise targeting the traps and rear deltoids. The reverse fly motion from a slightly hinged position opens the chest, activates the upper back, and improves shoulder blade mobility.

How to do it

  1. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hinge slightly forward at your hips.
  2. Extend both arms in front of you at chest height, palms facing each other.
  3. Sweep both arms back and out to the sides in a fly motion, squeezing your shoulder blades together.
  4. Return to the starting position in a controlled motion.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.

Form cues

Breathing: Inhale as you extend your arms in front of you, and exhale smoothly as you sweep your arms back to open your chest.
