Quadriceps stretch version 1 is a bodyweight kneeling quad stretch targeting the quads and hip flexors. The half-kneeling position provides stability while allowing a deep stretch in the front of the thigh.

How to do it

  1. Kneel on one knee with the other foot forward in a half-kneeling position.
  2. Reach back with your hand and grasp the ankle of the kneeling leg.
  3. Pull the foot gently toward your glutes, stretching the quad of the kneeling leg.
  4. Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds while keeping your torso upright.
  5. Release and repeat on the other side.

Breathing: Inhale deeply through your nose as you set up, and exhale slowly to help your muscles relax into the stretch.
