Category: WorkoutsTarget: glutesBody part: waistEquipment: body weightLevel: intermediateMovement: Hinge

The bridge glutes with reverse crunch is a bodyweight exercise combining a glute bridge and reverse crunch to target the glutes and abdominals simultaneously. It challenges posterior chain strength and core control in a single fluid movement.

How to do it

  1. Lie flat on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
  2. Press through your heels to lift your hips into a bridge position, squeezing your glutes at the top.
  3. While holding the bridge, draw your knees toward your chest in a reverse crunch motion.
  4. Extend your legs back to the bent position, then lower your hips back to the floor.
  5. Repeat the combined movement for the desired number of repetitions.

Form cues

Breathing: Inhale as you lower your hips, and exhale steadily as you lift into the bridge and draw your knees in.
