Plank Reach is a bodyweight strength exercise targeting the abs. The single-arm extension from the plank position challenges core anti-rotation stability and shoulder girdle control.

How to do it

  1. Begin in a full plank position with arms extended.
  2. While keeping your hips level, slowly extend one arm directly in front of you at shoulder height.
  3. Hold the reached position briefly, then return to the starting position.
  4. Repeat on the other side.
  5. Continue alternating arms for the desired number of repetitions.

Form cues

Breathing: Inhale to prepare, and exhale steadily as you reach your arm forward.
