Reverse bridge pose II is a bodyweight exercise targeting the lower back and glutes. By lifting the hips from a seated reverse position, it opens the chest, stretches the front of the body, and strengthens the posterior chain.

How to do it

  1. Sit on the floor with your legs extended and hands placed on the floor behind your hips, fingers pointing away.
  2. Press into your palms and heels to lift your hips off the ground as high as possible.
  3. Squeeze your glutes and let your head drop back gently.
  4. Hold the position for 20-30 seconds.
  5. Slowly lower your hips back to the floor and repeat.
